A stage every 12 weeks, and a plan for every one of them
From one showcase to the next. Every book ends on a stage.
Debut to the Fellowship. Every lesson written out, and you move up by mastery, not the calendar.
Varied, transposed and scheduled week by week in the Ovation Technique book, from Book 6 to the Diploma.
Four complete Czerny books, laid out so the hard pieces stop being hard.
How it starts
From first lesson to first ovation
Placement session
Thirty minutes at the piano. We hear what you can already play, place you on the right track, and map your first 90 days.
Book yoursTwelve weekly classes
60-minute small-group classes (45 minutes for ages 8–10) with a home teacher, a student book, a short practice plan, and a weekly practice video your teacher answers.
DebutThe showcase
Play a full song for family and friends, filmed and ready to share. Debut goes on to a second term and your own program on stage at week 24; then Encore.
About showcasesThe guarantee
They perform, or we keep teaching free.
Attend 11 of 12 classes and send at least 10 of 12 weekly practice videos in a term. If your student can't play a full song at the showcase, lessons continue at no charge until they can.
Applies to both Debut terms and to Junior Debut. Read the fine print.
Why it works
Chords first. Real songs always.
Most lessons start with scales and drills. Ours start with chords, the small part of piano that makes most of the music you hear. By lesson 5 a beginner plays a melody over a three-note chord. By lesson 11 they perform on stage, and by lesson 17 they know all six chords in a key.
1 · 4 · 5 · 6m (C, F, G and Am in C)
We name chords by number, the way working musicians do, so every song you learn moves to any key the singer needs.

DetailsThe pathway
From your first chord to the stage
Stages 1 and 2 are open now, and Stages 3 to 5 open as our first students get there. You move up by mastery, not the calendar: finish a book early and you move up early; need longer and you keep going in the same book. Nobody starts a book over.
Coming next
Stages 3 to 5 open as our first students get there
Ovation opens with Stages 1 and 2. Artist, Specialist, the Ovation Fellowship and the Artist Certificate come next, and each gets its full page when it opens.
